DEEP TECH TALENTS: Research-focused internships offering hands-on experience with advanced projects, where interns work closely with the hosting company to address complex technical challenges. Eligible applicants include PhD candidates and postdoctoral researchers currently involved in ERC, EIC Pathfinder, EIT EU Research & Infrastructure actions, and MSCA projects. Duration: 3-6 months

ASPIRING INNOVATORS: Entrepreneurship-focused internships where aspiring innovators develop business attitude and competences through expert mentoring, while gaining practical insights into innovative companies. Open to students in and graduates from EIT Label Masters and Doctoral programs, EIT Alumni, EIT Jumpstarter. Duration: up to 6 months

In InnoNext, the hosting companies will benefit from fully-funded internships valued up to EUR 30,000.

The hosting companies will not provide any direct payment to the interns because the costs of the internships will be covered by either InnoNext or the EU partner programme in which the researcher is a consortium member.

The path to host a Visiting Talent

Step 1 - Apply to InnoNext
Submit your application on the InnoNext website by filling out the form. Include your PIC number, affiliate EU programme and the project ID relative to that programme. After the application you will receive an email confirming that your request has been submitted, this will also include the instructions to provide the Letter of Commitment (find the template in the Resource page). This document will declare that you are eligible for the InnoNext initiative.

Step 2 - Create your Innovation Internship Vacancies
Upon confirmation, you will receive an email informing you how to access the InnoNext platform. From there you can create all the Internship Vacancies your company is willing to host. Each offer should include clear objectives and activities and outline the skills, technological advancements, and specific learning outcomes interns can expect. This detailed information will help attract suitable applicants who align with your organization’s needs and goals.

Step 3 - Identify and meet your Visiting Talent
The InnoNext’ matchmaking process will provide you with a selection of researcher profiles helping you to identify potential interview candidates. This process ensures you find the most suitable talent to strengthen your team and advance your projects.

Step 4 - Welcome your Visiting Talent
Once you and the researcher have agreed on the internship details, you will have to complete and sign Annex 2 of the Letter of Commitment and have it signed by the researcher.  All that remains now is to send the document signed by both parties to InnoNext and start the internship. You can also benefit from the InnoNext mentoring resources and workshops and provide your feedback about the whole experience.
